Abstract

This paper introduces a set of input-output blocks to model dynamic systems with complex mode switching, including changes in model order, subsystem reconfiguration, and dynamic state initialization. These blocks facilitate the modular construction of hierarchical models for simulation and analysis. The paper illustrates the application of the block set to model an automotive steer-by-wire system with torque-sensor failure modes, and presents an implementation and simulation results using Simulink.
