Abstract A 2-D finite element model of solving the forward problem for induced current impedance imaging is described. The improved Newton-Raphson method is used as the image reconstruction algorithm. Dynamic images obtained by the current induction method are presented. It is found that the improved Newton-Raphson method can stabilize the ill-posed inverse problem in EIT.
