Biography of Ahmad Rami Abu-El-Quran

Ahmad Rami was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1974. He

received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 1998 and the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2003. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University.

He was with GlaxoSmithKline as a Systems Engineer for two years and with Mentor Graphics as a Development Engineer for one year before he returned to school.

Mr. Abu-El-Quran research interests are in the areas of digital signal processing and its applications in audio, security purposes, biomedical, reverberant and low signal-to-noise environment, and microphone array applications.
