First 2006 meeting of the Ottawa Student Chapter of the SCS (The Society for Modeling and Simulation International, http://www.scs.org).

The meeting will take place next Wednesday, February 15 at 4:00PM in ME 4359.

Are you interested in Computer Simulation?

We want to form a Student Chapter of the SCS (The Society for Modeling and Simulation International, http://www.scs.org). The SCS is a 54-year-old organization dedicated to applications, development, education and research in modeling and simulation. The Society organizes several conferences and publishes journals and magazines on the field.

Our initiative will be coordinated by Prof. Gabriel Wainer, and students from Carleton University and the University of Ottawa are invited.

During this meeting, the administrative positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer will be filled. If you are interested in getting involved in the administration of Ottawa’s student chapter, please send me an email including your name, some information about yourself (whether you are an undergraduate, graduate, what year of study you are in and your field of study) and the role you would like to hold. Also, make sure to attend next week’s meeting since elections will be held at that time.

If you know of any student who might be interested in this initiative, please feel free to forward this message.
