Performance Evaluation of OSPF Routing Protocol on 802.11a wireless networks with Ricean/Rayleigh Fading. While OSPF routing algorithm is designed for optical networks, it will be the main routing algorithm to be used in wireless area also. This research will be focused on to evaluate and improve the performance of OSPF routing between WLAN core routers. Our topology will consist of routers that are connected to each other via 802.11a links with Ricean/Rayleigh fading characteristics. OpNet is chosen as a simulation tool for our study, because it has already built in 802.11a and 802.11b technologies with a flexible structure for further model development. This research is still under progress. |
